Optimize PC performance

With over 5,500 cleaning and repair functions, HDCleaner reduces junk files to a minimum, freeing up more system resources for Windows, using less memory, and running error-free, resulting in better PC performance.
HDCleaner lets you add any program on your system to have its data cleaned.
Supports Winapp2.ini.
Optimized for use with solid-state drives (SSD) and hard disk drives (HDD).
HDCleaner supports three cleaning modes:
Simple Cleanup - HDCleaner automatically scans for internet traces and junk files, which can be easily deleted. No user settings are required.
Standard Cleanup - This option is for standard users. The user determines which plugins should be deleted. Only the most commonly used plugins are displayed.
Advanced Cleanup - Expert mode is designed for experienced users. The user determines which plugins should be deleted. All plugins are displayed.

Faster start

Prevent unnecessary programs from starting when your computer boots up. When you start your computer, more than just Windows loads. All of these automatically opening programs consume system memory and can slow down performance. Fortunately, managing startup programs isn't difficult with HDCleaner.
Uninstall programs you don't use; they only slow down your computer. This frees up disk space and saves resources. All associated files, settings, and registry entries will also be removed.

Clean and optimize the registry

The registry contains all information about your PC settings, software, and hardware. Incorrect file paths, corrupted entries, and other types of errors slow down your computer. HDCleaner searches for and fixes various registry problems such as invalid shortcuts, incorrect paths, corrupted ActiveX and COM entries, CLSID values, Explorer extensions, BHOs (Browser Helper Objects), and other types of corrupted and outdated data.

If the registry is corrupted, it can lead to system errors and render the system unusable, requiring a reinstallation. For this reason, it is important to always have a backup of the registry so you can restore your system at any time if something goes wrong. HDCleaner supports you in backing up and restoring the registry.

Search the registry, find the desired registry values that match the specified search criteria, and display them in a list. Once you've located the registry values, you can easily navigate to the correct value in RegEdit by double-clicking the desired registry item. You can also export or delete the found registry keys and values.

Defragment Registry - Analyze and optimize the registry database. HDCleaner scans and optimizes the Windows registry by removing errors, gaps, and free space, thereby improving computer speed.

Securely deletes files, hard drives, and SSDs so that they are irrecoverable, even with specialized data recovery software. SSDs work completely differently than traditional magnetic hard drives. SSD controllers ensure, through a process known as "wear leveling," that data is evenly distributed across the flash memory blocks to increase the SSD's lifespan. Neither users nor programs can determine which parts of the SSD are written to. As a result, traditional multiple overwriting is no guarantee for secure data deletion on SSDs. Not only can you never be sure whether the occupied data blocks were actually overwritten, but frequent overwriting also shortens the SSD's lifespan. HDCleaner developed an algorithm that deletes the SSD's allocation table and all written blocks within seconds. This resets the SSD to its factory default state. This is especially worthwhile if you are selling the SSD and want to be 100% sure that no data can be recovered.

Overwriting free space (Master File Table Records) - When you delete a file in Windows, it is not actually destroyed. Windows simply hides the file and frees up the space to be overwritten. Therefore, files can be restored using special recovery programs. However, HDCleaner can overwrite this free space, making it impossible to recover deleted files on your hard drive.
Forensic cleanup (USN Journal, Cluster Tips, MFT, free space, removing residual traces of old deleted files) after plug-in cleanup in advanced mode.

More tools
